Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street West Hollywood Theatre reviews
Trombone Shorty rocks Wilkes-Barre!
The chance to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street in NOLA last year was missed by my boyfriend and I, and sadly had to wait until now for a second one. This is a rockin' band with an extremely talented musician who will keep you on your feet literally the entire show. There was a great balance of original jazz/blues/rock songs, and the smattering of traditional Louisiana tunes like "St. James Place." All were fabulous!
The Alexis P. Suter Band, the opening group, was flawless as well. Nearly to tears with her rendition of "Let It Be," Alexis brought us all. I can't recommend either more highly!"
Maxwell and Mary j Blige: King and Queen of Hearts
Here is the rearranged version of the review with a few words switched:
1. The best concert in a while and well worth every dollar. The price was very reasonable including their CDs. I would definitely attend if they returned to Memphis. I tried to sing and dance for most of the concert. Everyone I spoke to had a fantastic time and were very satisfied with their performances. It's amazing when you go to a concert anticipating just to enjoy the show but end up getting more than expected. I would have loved to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street perform a bit longer but it was still great. What a fantastic combination, Maxwell and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street!
Disney on Ice was AMAZING!!
"We have always taken our daughter to the Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street since she was a toddler, fixing to be 9 years old. Along with us was my granddaughter, who had never been to a Sweeney Todd event or anything on ice. She was absolutely amazed and loved it. Her great excitement on her face was so. I am glad that we were able to share this with her as well. Our daughter has always taken a family member or friend with her, and this show was as great as all the others we have attended. We so look forward to seeing what will be here next year!"
Too many people...
The target audience drastically changed between the two shows, with this post-VMA fame performance attracting a large and somewhat ridiculous crowd. Expecting a lot of fans for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, I was surprised by the lack of space to dance on the main floor. I rarely complain about these issues, but this time there was no room whatsoever. It was shocking to see children as young as eight in line for the concert, despite it being an all-ages event.
The set itself was fine, but unfortunately cut short due to an anxiety attack, as per Joel's Facebook update. While I understand the circumstances, I do wish there had been more opportunity to dance. On a positive note, the opening act by Skrillex was outstanding.
